Frequently Asked Questions

The Online Fiber Festival, or OIFF, is an 8-day online event. The next event will be on May 1-8, 2021. It brings the experience of a fiber festival to your own home using online resources. Classes are available on Craftsy.com; recipes are from various sources around the web; videos about the country and entertainment are all found on YouTube or Amazon Prime.

If you’d like, you can join the mailing list for updates on current and future festivals.
Each day of the festival, a new itinerary will be released. All the events for the day will be linked there. Participate in the entire event, or pick and choose what you do.

The organizer is not charging anything for participating. The vendors are not even being charged for their spaces in the marketplace. This is the organizer’s attempt to help members of the fiber community come together with a shared experience about something we all love, regardless of income and ability to travel.
The recommended classes do require a membership to Craftsy.com and some documentaries require a membership to CuriosityStream. All participants can pick another class if they’d like. The recommended classes are just suggestions.

Please share this festival with your fiber-loving friends!
There are costs associated with running the festival. When you purchase from a link on the site that takes you to Craftsy.com or CuriosityStream, a portion of your purchase price is gifted to the festival at no additional charge to you. If you are able, please consider making a contribution to defray the costs of the event.

If you’d like to be considered for a future event, please send an email to that effect to anne at familypodcasts.com. Vendor slots are limited and are filled from vendors located or somehow connected to the regions that will be part of the festival.
