Menus with Shopping Lists for the November 2020 Festival
The Online International Fiber Festival is a celebration of culture, as well as fiber craft. A big part of an area’s culture is food! With that in mind, each evening you are encouraged to prepare a meal from the region!
This year, many participants from our eight regions were kind enough to suggest recipes. We sifted through the suggestions, poked around through local recipe sites, and came up with a menu that uses ingredients most people should be able to find in a local market, no matter where they live in the world. However, we release the grocery list ahead of time in case you’ll need to make a trip to a specialty store or pick up a few ingredients online. If you really cannot find an ingredient, you may want to google for appropriate substitutions.
We also chose recipes that don’t require special equipment or an excessive amount of time. However, there are a few that you may need to start the night before. These will be called to your attention during the morning videos.
The actual recipes will go live each day as part of the daily itinerary, as well as any links to things that need to be started the night before.
